Jefferson Credit Union does. Jefferson Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution, which means we make decisions based on the best interest of our members, not on increasing returns to stockholders. We’re proud of that acumen, and now we are doing something most of our peers wouldn’t do. For the remainder of 2021, we are waiving the fee for transactions that cause your account balance* to overdraw up to $15. What does that mean?
For example, if your available balance is $15.00, and a check is presented for $18.00, the account will not be charged for the insufficient funds check, because it didn’t create an overdraft greater than $15.
Regardless of the number of checks or other debit items that draw against your account, no fee will be charged as long as the available balance in your account isn’t overdrawn for more than $15. Transactions causing an overdraft of greater than $15, will incur the standard insufficient funds fee.
Who does that? We do!
